All the following are working fine in Edius 7 the problem with Titler Pro 2 and video essentials 1 and 111 and 5 is that when you exit out of Edius and try and restart it it wont start up, you have got to open up Task Manager and look under processes for Edius and end the task and then it will open ok again. Barry, are you getting play back from a dead stop from the beginning of the clip just by hitting spacebar? Yes I can confirm Edius.exe is still running after exit with NewBlue installed. If I simply remove New Blue Fx folder completely from Plugins, Edius closes down properly. Outside of Plugins Edius does not see them. I tried taking all the.tpi's out of their subfolders and putting them in one folder.

This doesn't help the shutdown issue but does reveal duplicate filter names such as charcoal and colored pencil and there are 20 total of these duplicates, not necessarily the same file sizes either. Edius still respects the folder groupings in the effects list even though they are now in one folder. As the shut down problem didn't change, that counts out an Edius handling plugins in sub-folders as no problem. Another behaviour that NewBlue creates is white screens on Edius load, (same in 6.5) instead of the grey background and GUI it loads with just white centres within the various window borders and then fills the windows in a few seconds later. Without NewBlue in plugins Edius GUI loads normally. Another effect is that the extended desktop screen if there is a Windows explorer window open will leave that other window on top of Edius, a click to change Windows focus onto Edius is needed to resolve that.

I also find that the FX3800 Nvidia settings panel 'manage 3D settings' base profile has to have the overlay set to 'off' or after a render of a clip with a NB plugin applied it will cause Edius to go to white screens and freeze within a few mouse clicks or playing the next clip. At least here I can have the GPU acceleration set to 'on' in NB, in Edius 6.5 that just led to crashes all the time. So there we are;- use with caution!
