This is beautiful.it reminds me of the reason I liked skiing in the Colorado Rockies. It wasn't so much for the skiing as to be able to look out over mountain vistas. Regarding the composition, the blue sky is necessary to complement and contrast the mountains and the white snow. Sometimes a close-to-the-ground shot works best, but in this case you might actually wind up with too much foreground, mountain, or sky at the expense of the rest of the terrain.
